Turnpike road from Warwick to Paddle Brook

Description of this historic site

A toll road running from Warwick to Paddle Brook. Travellers would have had to pay a toll to use the road during the Imperial period.

Notes about this historic site

1 Turnpike road, established by Acts of 1779 onwards. Part of a route from Leicester, the original Acts for which were passed in 1753-4, but which proved too unwieldy to operate under one trust.
