An enclosure of Neolithic or Iron Age date was found during an archaeological excavation. Its function is unknown. The site is located 500m south east of the church, Wasperton.

Notes about this historic site

1 This site has previously been described as a Neolithic henge (see WA 4652). Excavation between 1980-85 found no evidence to support this view. However an alternative interpretation for the circular enclosure is difficult due to the lack of internal features.
2 Dating now revised to be Neolithic or Iron Age.
