Notes about this historic site
1 A building known as the Deer House. It backs onto a small wood. Photographs were taken in 1980 and by 1981 it had collapsed. The building was 19.8 by 9m, mainly of brick with main corners quoined with sandstone. The central section was open-fronted with timber supports. The building had wings on either end. It was probably a deer house. It was probably late Victorian.
