Historic public house recorded on F White & Co.’s, and Pigot’s databases. The latter shows it in existence in 1828.
Situated on the south side of Greenhill street, numbers 23 and 24, at the junction with Rother street, in the medieval area of the town.
Listed building record DWA (1967) gives a date of 1600 for the public house, and C16 (1500 – 1599) for the building.
