Summer 2016 sees the return of one of the most important original documents relating to William Shakespeare to his home town, where it was written 400 years ago.
Working together with The National Archives we’re delighted to be displaying Shakespeare’s original will as part of our Treasures exhibition at the Shakespeare Centre from 16 July – 4 August. This is the first time Shakespeare’s will is returning to Stratford-upon-Avon since Dr. John Hall, Shakespeare’s son-in-law took it to London in June 1616 to get a grant of probate. Don’t miss this once in a lifetime opportunity to see the original will on display in Shakespeare’s hometown of Stratford-upon-Avon.
