The site of a watercourse associated with the Medieval/Post Medieval watermill at Atherstone on Stour. The watercourse is still visible as an earthwork. It is situated 300m north west of Lion's Pond.

Notes about this historic site
1 The River Stour has been diverted between SP2050 and SP2050, to form a water course for Atherstone Mill (WA1345). The channelling of the river is almost certainly contemporary with the building of the mill, making it of 11th century date.
2 The watercourse is still clear although it is much overgrown and choked with weeds.
