Lovie reports a regular plan with a pair of chapels, lodge (on Birmingham Road), and states that it is probably the best planted and best maintained cemetery in the county (at time of Lovie’s report, 1996/7).
Formal approach from Birmingham Road with unusual drive from the east along the canal with topiary Irish yews.
Many 19th century conifers have survived at time of Lovie’s report.
Many monuments commemorate significant figures in the history of Warwick.
Site extended to the north.

Lovie states that Warwick Cemetery Is a border-line case for consideration for the Register but he states at present (time of his report) it is mor appropriate for inclusion on the Local List as a key site.
It should be reassessed in any future Register Review exercise.
