1 Stareton is shown as populated on Dugdale’s map and is in the approximate position of the modern village.
2 An estate map from 1597 shows about 17 houses around Stareton House and Park Farm.
3 In 1304, 11 people were assessed.
4 Another map from 1685 shows approximately 15 houses at Stareton.
5 There maybe some remains of house platforms at SP3371, but the grass was very long and it was not possible to give an opinion.
