The site of Weddington Castle which was built during the Post Medieval period. It was situated west of Castle Road, Weddington, but is now destroyed.

Notes about this historic site

1 Weddington Castle (apparently standing in 1947) was probably on the site of the capital mansion-house mentioned in a suit of 1566. It may have been built by Thomas, Marquis of Dorset, who enclosed the whole manor of Weddington in 1491.
