Notes about this historic site
1 Site of the medieval and post medieval settlement of Freasley, Polesworth. Settlement has 17th and 16th century houses. The village extrends to the S in a more disorganised way. This is may be an encroachement on the Green, possibly by squatters.
2 Freasley on W edge of the parish of Polesworth. It had a mill. Granted to the nuns by Robert de Kailli. Freasley Hall 2m SW of church is late 17th century. There are other buildings dating to 16th century. The manor of Freasley descended with that of Overwhitacre for 250 years passiing through heiresses to the family of Pulteney.
