Notes about this historic site

1 Earthworks are visible in Hall Yard, Middle Field and Ladbrook Meadow. In Hall Yard, they are overlain by later landscaping. Definite holloways can be traced, but that in Ladbrook Meadow appears to cut through ridge and furrow. There is an unusual circular mound in Middle Field which is about 4m in diameter, surrounded by a circular ditch 10m in diameter. It was thought that this might have been a horse-mill.
