Medieval hollow way W of Oldberrow

Description of this historic site

The route of a road visible as an earthwork, a hollow way, and dating from the Medieval to the Imperial period. It is situated west of Oldberrow.

Notes about this historic site

1 A continuous hollow way running between hedges from the Morton Bagot boundary towards a road running northwards through the parish (see WA 1238), marks the existence of a former road. It was still in use in 1839 and said to have had a cobbled surface.
2 The hollow way is deeply cut, partly by the action of water where it meets above the road.
3 Ecological management document, contains maps and photographs.
