Description of this historic site
The site of an icehouse, a structure built partially underground and used to store ice during the warmer months. It dates to the Imperial period and is situated 100m north of Grove Park House.

Notes about this historic site
1 A moulded stone Tudor doorway reset in the N revetting wall of the moat may be a relic of the earlier house on the site. It forms the entrance to a 18th century ice house below ground.
2 The Tudor doorway is reset in the W revetting wall of the moat. No mention of the ice house.
