Notes about this historic site
Site of a possible Medieval watermill.
1 The River Avon forms the N boundary of the parish of Church Lawford, and on it, no doubt, was the mill recorded in 1086 and which was later given to the monks of Pipewell Abbey, being mentioned again in 1291.
2 Its site is unknown. It is possible that these references are to King’s Newnham Mill (PRN 3464).
