Notes about this historic site
1 Archaeological observations of the foundation trenches for a new public toilet block in Pageant Gardens, behind Jury Street, Warwick, in the centre of the Medieval town, recorded evidence for outbuildings and cellars of ?18th century date but not for any earlier period. Whilst it is possible that remains of Medieval occupation have been removed by later building activity, it is also possible that they survive on this site at a level deeper than that to which the foundation trenches were excavated.
