Comments
The name Black Dog is not actually referring to a canine, but the Earl of Warwick in the reign of King Edward II. Piers Gaveston, favourite of Edward II, called the Earl of Warwick the Black Dog of Arden in a derogatory way, which he later ended up regretting!
