Notes about this historic site
1 1971: During excavations in advance of the Kenilworth bypass Neolithic pits have been found. The pits contained fire-cracked stones, burnt clay and sherds of Secondary Neolithic pottery. A shallow linear ditch traversed the area for a distance of 20m and is probably part of an enclosure, the rest of which lies off the road alignment.
2 Eight probable or possible sherds from the excavation.
