Graham Obree (born 1965), known to cycling fans as the ‘Flying Scotsman’, is best known for breaking the World Hour Record on the velodrome twice (1993 and 1994), as well as for his unconventional home-designed bicycles and riding style, and rivalry with Chris Boardman. Graham has lived for most of his life in Scotland and considers himself a true Scot, but was actually born in Nuneaton.
