Notes about this historic site
1 The possible extent of the Medieval settlement, other than the suspected shrunken area WA 5362, and the deserted area WA3024, based on the first edition 6″ map of 1886, 35NW.
2 The 1886 map shows a dispersed hamlet with lots of little fields, some planted with orchards. These patchy areas are mostly covered by WA3024 (possible deserted medieval settlement), and by WA5362 (the shrunken settlement of Walcote)`. This monument covers the remaining area.
