Notes about this historic site
1 A water pump which backs onto a wall of Badger’s Cottage on the opposite side of the road to the entrance to Badger’s Farm. Cast iron, standing 1m from the ground. In shape it is a six-sided faceted cylinder curving to a point at its apex.

This “water pump” is a water column, and can be seen against the wall to the RHS of the RH end window, hidden in the creepers. It is identical to the one in the open against the red brick wall at 52.096794,-1.586377, just to the left past the pond.
