Description of this historic site
The possible site of a Medieval watermill associated with Stoneton deserted settlement. Some earthworks survive at the site which lies 400m south east of Newfield Pool.

Notes about this historic site
1 At the SW corner of the field with the deserted Medieval village earthworks is a large platform projecting into the river. This may have been a mill site. There is however no mention of a mill at Domesday.
