Notes about this historic site
1 Archaeological evaluation at Riversmeade, Wappenbury carried out by Warwickshire Museum. A late Medieval ditch recorded in Trench 2, at the eastern end of the site, was aligned with the lane. Running parallel to, and possibly associated with, this ditch was a line of three post holes, one of which still contained the remains of a wooden post.
