Notes about this historic site
1 An archaeological evaluation found no significant archaeological features. One part of the site was enclosed by a ditch in the Medieval period. No evidence was recovered for occupation or agricultural activity. The area had been quarried in the Late Medieval and Post Medieval periods.
2 Observation of topsoil stripping at the site, prior to the erection of a number of new houses, revealed no remains associated with the Medieval settlement of Ladbroke other than the line of a property boundary located during previous work in 1993.
