Notes about this historic site
1 A level platform exists in the orchard to the SW of the modern house named ‘The Manor’. A local resident records that carved stone pieces now in his garden were derived from this site. One of them is a carved limestone column and could have been brought from the Priory after Dissolution. A substantial building could have occupied this site. In 1820 the field containing the earthworks was known as ‘House Piece’.
2 Plan.
3 Earthworks survive and can be seen on LiDAR imagery.
