Notes about this historic site
1 A cob-walled house on Yarningdale Common was recorded.
2 There are no buildings at this grid reference on the OS 1:10 000.
3 The building was located on a walk-over survey of Yarningale Common (August 2013) and the monument position was changed in response. The building appears to be the last surviving example on the common of an early (18th century?) single unit one storey plus attic ‘squatter’ cottage. The cottage is situated within an obvious area of ‘intake’ from the common. The building is of high significance and should be considered for national designation.
