Notes about this historic site
1 2 3 White Bear Inn, Long Street, Atherstone.
Historic Inn recorded on Pigot’s (under taverns and public houses), F. White and Co.’s (called an Inn), and Victuallers’ databases, the latter shows it in existence in 1801.
Situated on the north side of Long Street at the western end of Atherstone, within the medieval settlement area.
Buildings to the rear.
Note: there appears to be some confusion with names: Pigot’s database refers to a White Bear and a New White Bear, while the Victuallers’ database refers to a White Bear and an Old White Bear, and F. White mentions only a White Bear.

Comments
The pub was more commonlyknown as “The Clock”, because of the large drum-shaped timepiece which hung on the front.
