Historic inn recorded on FWhite&Co.’s, and Victuallers’ databases. The latter shows it in existence in 1806.
Situated on the south side of the High street, close to the church, in the medieval part of the town.
Listed building record (DWA3685) gives a date of late C16/early C17 for the building.
