Notes about this historic site
1 The farm complex at Tidmington is first shown on the 1st edition Ordnance Survey map, where it appears as a regular courtyard complex with outlying buildings.
2 The farm complex contains an open fronted cattle shelter shed of late 18th/early 19th century date; the open front comprises seven bays of timber jowl posts originally on staddle stones. The rear wall is of cob construction and the entire building is surmounted by a thatch roof with half hip to one end.
