Notes about this historic site
1 About the beginning of Edward I (1272-1307), William de Harcourt granted to Henry de Braunteson and his heirs, that part of his capital court or mansion ‘by the wall which then extended to an oak standing before the door of the old grange’. It is not improbable that the moat to the W of Bushwood Hall marks the site of the old grange.
2 Noted Ordnance Survey.
