Historic hotel recorded on F White & Co.’s, Pigot’s, and Victuallers’ databases. The latter shows it in existence in 1813.
Situated on the west side of Sheep street, in the medieval area of the town.
Listed building record (DWA 1347) gives a date of 1800 – 1832 for the hotel, and the building.
