1 Site of the Luke Britain inn, Smith street, Warwick.
Site of historic inn recorded on the Board of Health map 13 which shows it to be in existence in 1851.
Situated on the south east side of Smith street, in a medieval suburb of Warwick.
Listed building record (DWA5648) shows a date of C17 for the building with a date from 1700 as a public house. The record states this is the Cavalier public house and was formerly known as The Volunteer. The building is recorded as number 42 Smith Street.

2 Crossling states that this pub only became the Volunteer after a pub of that name at 24 Smith Street closed. Crossling adds that this pub was originally named the Green Man in 1802 but was renamed the Three Tuns shortly after this date.
