The site of a country house that was built during the Post Medieval period. It was demolished during the Imperial period. The house was situated in the area of Newnham Hall.

Notes about this historic site
1 The old mansion of the Earls of Chichester was built of stone and stood a little to the SW but in close proximity to the chapel. It was pulled down about 1776.
2 Hall Farm was built on the site of the house.
3 There are now no traces of the Old Hall.
4Mounement altered to reflect large formal garden earthworks which still exist to the west and south of the hall site visible on HER lidar layer
