Said to be haunted by a grey lady who follows people around, opens and closes doors and has been seen weeping at a window on the first floor. Although no one knows who she is, one story says that her husband, after accusing her infidelity, threw her child from the top of the building, killing it. She, mad with grief, ran into the woods and drowned herself in a lake. Known afterwards as the suicide pool.
