Comments
This is probably the lime works which were on the old contour canal branch of the Oxford Canal by Newbold on Avon. Some of the site is lost to landfill with domestic rubbish, but the wharf remains and is filled with decaying boilers heavily riveted that may be coeval with the workings. The end of the wharf still has coals on the canal bed, presumably spilt when unloading coal deliveries by canal. The site is full of various rubble, and the only standing remains appear to be a concrete structure that might have been the support for an aerial ropeway.
