Notes about this historic site
1 Earthwork visible on aerial photograph.
2 This site appears only as an earthwork on an aerial photograph of 1956: now the land has been ploughed and there are no surface indications of the site. The earthworks most resembled those left by a deserted settlement – and the D.M.V. of Haseley is most likely to be here (WA 2603) – i.e. a possible hollow way, with a complex of sunken ways (possibly platforms) leading off this.
