Notes about this historic site
1 Trench produced evidence for a Medieval house with a wall of sandstone and pebbles and a floor of beaten clay. Quantities of coarse and green-glazed pottery of 11th – 14th century were associated. The site was immediately backfilled and abandoned, but it is feared that it was destroyed by later ploughing.
2 Interim excavation report.
