Notes about this historic site
1 Probably all of one build, the house is of timber framing and brick. Built on a high plinth, raising the timbers well above the ground, the house is ‘L’ shaped with gabled ends and a central chimney stack. It is marked as No. 17 on the 1550 – 1650 map in this book.
2 Middle Rookery retains most of its square timber-framing of c.1600 and has stop-chamfered ceinling beams and a central chimney stack.
