Beamon and Roaf report a brick construction set in a steep bank and covered in earth, situated behind the private hotel at the rear of the stables.
A short S-facing tunnel about 5 ft (1.5 m) long, 2 ft (0.6 m) wide and 5 ft (1.5 m) high opens into the beehive-shaped chamber which has a diameter of 10 ft (2.5-3 m).
Visited by A.J. Dorin of the Nature Conservancy Council in 1987.
