Documentary sources from the Medieval and Post Medieval periods suggest that there was a windmill at this site, or nearby. The possible location was to the east of Weddington Hill.

Notes about this historic site
1 At the N of the parish heights slightly over 122m are reached at Hodnell Manor Farm and Weddington Hill. It was probably here that a windmill stood which is recorded in 1291, 1321, and 1547.
