Historical Association, Nuneaton Branch

We are a local branch of a national organisation and meet monthly on Thursdays from September to May at Chilvers Coton Heritage Centre, usually starting at 7.30pm.  At our meetings there are talks by distinguished historians from all over the country who speak for 45-55 minutes (usually illustrated). They address us on a wide variety of historical subjects from all periods. Then, after refreshments, there is an opportunity to ask them questions on the topic. There is a second-hand history book sale on each occasion. Attendance is generally between thirty five and forty five people

There are also occasional members’ evenings and summer outings to places of historic interest. There is a choice of local or national membership of the Historical Association. Non-members are very welcome to come along and see what a meeting is like.
