We have monthly talks from high quality speakers on local and general historical topics. Please see our programme page for details. Our research group specialises in late 19th century and 20th century local history, in particular local social history.
We are a small working group that began in 2009 by surveying the memorial inscriptions in our churchyard.
Our Family History Society is the principal genealogical and heraldic society for the counties of Staffordshire, Warwickshire and Worcestershire. This includes the areas of ‘old’ counties, as they existed before the major boundary changes of the 19th and 20th centuries, as well as the areas brought into them by those changes.
We hold monthly meetings at the Brandon Club, with speakers on historical and social subjects from a wide range of professional and personal interests, some from local residents.
A friendly group with lots of photos and member discussions.
The idea of this website is to publish online Thomas Baker's diaries together with the relevant finished painting where possible for the benefit of art researchers, and owners in the further appreciation of his work. A section for his watercolours is also included.
