Notes about this historic site
1 A defence position, apparent on aerial photographs to the east of Baginton Air Field, was mapped as part of the English Heritage (EH) National Mapping Project (NMP). Three zigzag trench lines overlook the Avon valley. At the southern most end of these works there appears to be a concrete structure that is either an air raid shelter or a firing position. To the rear (west) of the trenches there is circular pit which is possibly a gun position.

Comments
With the lack of map coordinates could there be some confusion with the disused sewage works now a nature reserve to the east of Baginton airfield?
