Comments
there are numerous sites in the area that could be the sites of shallow clay pits such as Ticknell spinney and near stareton in wooded areas close to the main entrance to the NEC the profile of shallow water features silted up close to othere features seems very similar to places I have visited that have been mapped as clay pits in early mapping.
