Documentary evidence records that there was a chapel at Flecknoe during the Medieval period.

Notes about this historic site

1 In the village of Fleckenho is a decayed chapel.
2 An agreement was made in 1404 that the inhabitants of Wolfhampcote living near Flecknoe could have a chaplain of their own. In 1360 William de Peyto had been licensed to have a chaplain celebrating in his oratory at Flecknoe.
3The site of the chapel is unknown but is likely to have been within the main core of the settlement.
