Notes about this historic site
Site of a well house.
1 Wishing well with small building over – ?early C19 with two arched openings in Gothic manner and incorporating various carved Medieval stones.
2 There is just a pile of undecorated stones marking the site today. The landowner suggests that the Medieval stones were derived from demolition of one wing of the manor house. The well was dilapidated and was pulled down in 1980.
