The remains of a Roman stone building were found during excavations in the High Street, Alcester. Finds from the site included a single tessera and painted wall plaster.

Notes about this historic site
1 1987. Salvage recording uncovered a stone-filled foundation trench 1.4m wide marking the external walls of a Roman stone building. One side measured 10.7m NW-SE, and two corners of the structure were identified. Opus signinum, painted wall plaster, and 1 tessera were also found.
