Multi-phase settlement at Henbrook Lane, Brailes
An area of possible settlement at Henbrook Lane in Brailes was identified by geophysical survey. The characteristics of the features and the extant earthworks suggest a multi-phase site, perhaps dating from the prehistoric to medieval periods.
1 Cut features and walls identified by magnetometer survey, together with extant earthworks suggest that there was settlement in this area. Possible pit alignments and ring ditches indicate a prehistoric date for some of this activity, whilst finds from the vicinity such as an Anglo Saxon pin and medieval pottery suggest later settlement.
