Moat at Park Farm

Description of this historic site

The site of a moat, a wide ditch surrounding a building, of Medieval date. It is visible as an earthwork and is situated 100m south east of Park Farm.

Notes about this historic site

1 The remains of a small homestead moat in poor condition.
3 Only one arm of the moat survives though areas of ‘disturbed’ ground may indicate something of the layout of the moat. There is a raised bank adjoining the surviving arm, this being 0.3m high and 4m wide. The moat ditch is 8m wide and 1m deep.
