Notes about this historic site
1 An archaeological evaluation at this location involved excavation trial trenching either side of the former London Road, close to the Medieval Avon bridge. The excavation identified a number of medieval and Post Medieval structural features which are thought to date from 13th to 18th centuries. A series of 13th century pits were also recorded.
