Notes about this historic site
1 A house, now divided into two tenements having a central hall between the cross wings. Although the plan is of an early type, the gables of the wings suggest by their pitch a date in the first half of the 16th century. The Hall is not open to the roof, having an attic which connects the upper storey of the wings.
2 It is difficult to place this building. The Hillmorton Manor Hotel occupies its approximate site but doesn’t exactly fit the description in VCH.
